- Undertake activities to maintain the quality, safety or integrity of the Services.
- Maintain data security including detecting and responding to security incidents and protecting you, and us, from fraud.
- Monitor our Sites, including gathering usage data and other analytic information that enables us to maintain and improve the Services.
- Other uses that are required for us to meet our legal, contractual, or regulatory requirements.
- Information collected through technology: When you visit our Sites or Apps (or when you use any of our Services) we may collect certain information about your location, usage, computer or device through technology such as cookies (see below for more information on cookies).

- With Tru Beauty Story affiliates where such disclosure is necessary to provide you with our Services or to manage our business.

- With our Customer with whom you are also engaging when you use the Services. Each Tru Beauty Story Customer operates independently from Tru Beauty Story and their collection and use of your personal information is not subject to this Notice but to their own privacy notices.
- With banks and payment providers to authorize and complete card payments.
- We do not not sell your personal information for monetary compensation.
Tru Beauty Story may also disclose personal information about you if it believes such disclosure is necessary to comply with laws or respond to lawful requests and legal process or to protect or defend the rights, safety or property of Tru Beauty Story, users of the Services or any person including to enforce our agreements, policies and terms of use.
In addition, subject to applicable legal requirements, we may share personal information in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business assets to another company.
We take seriously our responsibility to protect the security and privacy of your personal information. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.

You the “member” acknowledges that the information included in the TBS membership registration, profile, IP location is accurate and represents your current and/or up to date personal information and is “you” and not a falsely created or stolen identity. If found to be false TBS has the right to withhold membership privileges, put on hold, or remove “member” from platform indefinitely, without refund of membership in which the “member” signed up for. “Member” is still required to make all payments agreed upon in the registration process of contract.
Beauty Industry Employee and/or Owner:
If TBS “member” is an employee, consultant, business owner and the like in the industry of beauty must acknowledge therein by selecting this section. “Member” shall not promote their own or any other’s business, products, sales, or any type of branding on TBS web or app platform. Membership options are available upon request through the members option selection through TBS customer service department.

The purpose of this website is to promote broad consumer understanding and knowledge of various topics related to hair care and treatment. Use of our service or products does not create a patient-physician relationship and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For clarity, we do not intend or desire to receive, nor shall you upload or submit to us, any Protected Health Information (PHI). TBS is not liable for any information between “SMB” and “member” as pertains to confirming an appointment, pricing, cancellation, and “SMB” business protocols. The use of the “Appointments” tool is not a guarantee for an appointment, confirmation of an appointment, pricing, quality of stylist, or outcome of service.
We may collect your name, date of birth, your photo, email address, postal address, phone number (including your mobile phone number), billing information, survey responses, demographics, current and prior appointments details, passwords, contact information of people you add to the address book section or notify of, your appointments through our Sites, names and email addresses of recipients of TBS Gift Cards (as this term is defined in the TBS Terms of Use) and other information you provide on our Sites. If you use our mobile application, to book an appointment, we may also collect your mobile device ID, your precise location data, and SMB search locations you select.
For purchases through the web and app, credit or debit card account information may be required. We my also obtain information from other sources, such as third-party websites, applications, and services (each, a “Third-Party Platform”), through which you connect with our Sites and combine that with information we collect on our Sites.
Members are restricted from using “reviews, postings, and groups” for sales purposes, branding materials, tools, and ambassadors to promote their own or another’s business. TBS retains the right to cancel any member who uses our platform without going through the sales department to create a custom enterprise business account for such purposes. TBS has the right to remove “member” from platform indefinitely or for a period of time without refund of membership in which the “member” signed up for. “Member” is still required to make all payments agreed upon in the registration process of contract.
Posting of images and video must be of your own, came into possession of from another party, or have the copyright of image(s) and footage to post. TBS is not liable of “member” posting image(s) and footage with other parties/individuals who are or not “members” of TBS on our platform. TBS has the right to put member’s account on hold, withhold privileges, or cancel membership for posting text or images that are deemed inappropriate by TBS staff and affiliate companies.
TBS and its affiliate companies have the right thereof of exemptions from harmful content sent from you to a “member” or received from a “member” while using our social media platforms in relation to Groups, TBS World, Connect, Appointments, Reviews, Posting, Blogs, Video and/or rejection of “member’s” right to accept or reject “member’s” connect request.
Member will receive advertising unless membership level provides an option to exclude advertisement to a degree at the recreation of TBS based on membership level provisions.
Tru Beauty Story may occasionally, at our discretion, include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites. We do not endorse or make any warranty of any type regarding the content contained on such websites or products and services offered on those websites.
We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Sites and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal information. This Notice applies solely to personal information collected by us. You should read any other applicable privacy and cookies notices carefully before accessing and using other websites.
We do not specifically market to children under 13, nor do we provide Services to anyone under the age of 18.

TBS reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to modify, update, add to, discontinue, remove or otherwise change any portion of this Notice, in whole or in part, at any time. When the policy is amended, TBS will notify member with appropriate communication about such changes. If you provide personal information to us or access or use the Services after this Notice has been changed, we will assume you have read and understood those changes. The most current version of this Notice will be available on the website and app and will supersede all previous versions of this Notice. You can check the policy at your discretion. You care able to contact us to cancel membership if you are not in agreement with our policy. Billing will continue as to fulfill the membership contract in which member registered for.
Choice of Law. This Notice, including all revisions and amendments thereto, and the enforcement of the rights and obligations hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict or choice of law principles. The parties hereby expressly agree that any and all claims arising out of or related to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the sole and exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue in the federal and state courts located in North Carolina, and you hereby consent to the sole exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of these courts.
CAN SPAM Act

Software from McLean Consortium, LLC: Some use of TBS requires you to download a client software package (“Application”). To use the Application you must have a device that is compatible, so we cannot guarantee the the Application will work on your device. We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the Application, solely to access TBS App. Your license to use the Application is automatically revoked I you violate these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of TBS App or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, (unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have a our written permission or delete the copyright and other proprietary rights notices on the app).
